NIA Raids Multiple Locations in Punjab and Chandigarh in Connection with Goldie Brar’s Criminal Network
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at nine locations in Punjab and Chandigarh in connection with the criminal activities of Goldie Brar and her associates. Brar, along with a partner named Goldie from Rajpura, is reportedly recruiting youths involved in criminal activities across Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, and other states.
The raids come after the NIA charged terrorist Goldie Brar in the murder case of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Gogamedi in Jaipur. Brar and her associates are allegedly involved in extorting money from businessmen through intimidation tactics. Several prominent businessmen in Punjab and Chandigarh were reportedly targeted for extortion.
In Patiala district alone, raids were conducted at four locations including Village Wazirnagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, and two places in Sirhind city where youth camps were held. The NIA seized mobile phones and conducted searches on social media accounts belonging to three individuals. SP D Rakesh Yadav confirmed the NIA’s presence and stated that the raids lasted from 3 am to 9 am.
The NIA’s action is related to a case registered against top gangsters, as the SIM cards of the arrested youths were reportedly used by these gangsters, and funds were transferred to their accounts. The informant’s identity regarding Goldie Brar’s associates will be kept confidential, and contact numbers have been provided for reporting any relevant information.
Goldie Brar’s recruitment of individuals involved in criminal activities aims to strengthen her gang’s ability to extort money from businessmen. The NIA recovered electronic devices and other evidence during the raids, highlighting the agency’s ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks operating in the region.
