Bikram Majithia has voiced his support for Kulwinder Kaur following her altercation with Kangana Ranaut. Majithia expressed respect for Kaur’s feelings and sentiments, emphasizing his solidarity with her. He highlighted the ongoing pain among Punjabis due to the farmers’ protests, where over 700 farmers lost their lives opposing the three farm bills. Majithia criticized Ranaut for her derogatory comments against Punjabis and women.
Majithia noted that while he does not endorse violence, the incident at Chandigarh airport reflects the anger among Punjabis towards Ranaut. He reiterated the importance of listening to the farmers, who provide food for the country, and acknowledged the contributions of their families to national security. According to Majithia, the government’s refusal to heed the farmers’ concerns has led to such incidents.
He also called for avoiding inflammatory statements, such as those labeling Punjabis as terrorists, as they contribute to societal bitterness. Majithia urged the government to understand the root causes behind such actions and address the grievances of the people, particularly the farmers and their families.
Additionally, Majithia mentioned recent political developments, like the significant changes within the Akali Dal following the Lok Sabha elections and decisions by the Bhagwant Mann government concerning students. He stressed that understanding and addressing the underlying issues are crucial to preventing further escalation and maintaining harmony.
