Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the eldest biological daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has filed legal paperwork to remove ‘Pitt’ from her last name. The filing occurred shortly after Shiloh turned 18 on May 27, reflecting a significant personal decision made upon reaching adulthood.
According to sources, Shiloh’s petition was submitted on her birthday, indicating a strong desire to make this change promptly. This move has ignited speculation regarding the relationship dynamics within the family, particularly between Shiloh and her father, Brad Pitt.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s split in 2016 was widely publicized, with custody arrangements for their six children remaining contentious. Despite a judge awarding joint custody in 2021, recent developments suggest a potential rift between Shiloh and her father.
Shiloh is not the only Jolie-Pitt child distancing themselves from the Pitt surname. Their daughter Zahara adopted ‘Zahara Marley Jolie’ upon joining her sorority at Spelman College. Additionally, their 15-year-old daughter, Vivienne, was listed as ‘Vivienne Jolie’ on a Broadway playbill for a musical Angelina produced.
The couple’s divorce followed an alleged heated confrontation on a flight in 2016, involving their children. Angelina’s legal team claimed in 2022 that Pitt had been “verbally abusive” and “physical” during the incident.
