Dhaval Thakkar, the main accused in the Rajkot TRP Game Zone fire incident that claimed 28 lives, was arrested by Banaskantha crime branch police and Rajkot Police from Abu Road in Rajasthan. Thakkar, the fourth accused to be apprehended, had fled after the fire.
Earlier arrests include Yuvrajsinh Solanki, Nitin Jain, and Rahul Rathod. Special Public Prosecutor Tushar Gokani noted that Solanki feigned remorse in court but was later seen laughing and downplaying the incident. The court has remanded the accused in police custody for two weeks, citing non-cooperation and evasive replies during the investigation.
An FIR names six partners of the TRP game zone: Dhaval Thakkar, Ashoksinh Jadeja, Kiritsinh Jadeja, Prakashchand Hiran, Yuvrajsinh Solanki, and Rahul Rathod. They face charges under IPC sections 304, 308, 337, 338, and 114 for culpable homicide and endangering lives.
