AAP MP Swati Maliwal has accused Arvind Kejriwal’s aide, Bibhav Kumar, of assaulting her at the Delhi CM’s residence. Kejriwal stated that the police would interrogate his elderly parents in connection with the incident.
Maliwal, a Rajya Sabha member, alleged that Kumar slapped and kicked her inside the CM’s house. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) defended Kumar, asserting that he was framed as part of a BJP conspiracy. AAP leader Atishi claimed the BJP coerced Maliwal into filing the FIR using an old ACB case.
Kumar has been arrested. Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, along with his parents, may also face questioning. Maliwal claimed that Kejriwal’s family was present during the assault.
Atishi criticized the police and PM Narendra Modi, questioning their decision to interrogate Kejriwal’s elderly parents. Kejriwal emphasized the need for a fair investigation due to conflicting versions of the incident.
Maliwal accused Kejriwal of mobilizing AAP leaders against her and tarnishing her reputation. She alleged a conspiracy to defame her by leaking personal photos. AAP countered, alleging Maliwal’s disruptive behavior during an unauthorized meeting with Kejriwal.
