Actor Shekhar Suman, who recently joined the BJP, stated that he will ‘opt-out’ of the party if he is unable to serve effectively. Emphasizing his intention to serve without political ambitions, Suman highlighted that he doesn’t want to be embroiled in political turmoil or debates. He aims to leverage his association with politics to empower his industry and state.
Speaking about his approach, Suman mentioned setting a time limit for himself and being prepared to step back if he fails to deliver on his commitments. He reiterated his purpose of joining the BJP, emphasizing that he’s there to serve, and if unable to fulfill that purpose, continuing wouldn’t make sense.
Shekhar Suman’s political journey saw a resurgence with his recent entry into the BJP after a hiatus of about 15 years. He had previously contested the 2009 Lok Sabha elections from Patna Sahib on a Congress ticket but was unsuccessful. Joining the BJP at its headquarters in New Delhi, Suman expressed gratitude, attributing his decision to divine guidance.
Known for his contributions to TV series like “Dekh Bhai Dekh” and “Movers n Shakers,” Shekhar Suman has recently ventured into digital platforms with notable roles in web series like “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.”
