Diddy’s video, which didn’t mention Cassie by name, expressed remorse for his actions and his subsequent seeking of professional help. However, Owens and others questioned the sincerity of his apology, urging him to acknowledge specific past controversies, including incidents involving Biggie Smalls, a nightclub shooting, and alleged threats to blow up Kid Cudi’s car.
Owens also called on Diddy to reveal Hollywood’s alleged ring leaders, suggesting he played a role in damaging black communities. She referenced various past controversies, including a charity basketball game tragedy in 1991, a nightclub shooting incident in 1999, and allegations made by Cassie Ventura and others.
The demand for transparency comes amid a renewed focus on Cassie Ventura’s case after a video of her being assaulted by Diddy emerged. The situation has escalated further with allegations of sex trafficking, leading to Homeland Security raids on Diddy’s properties. Despite settling some cases out of court, Diddy faces continued scrutiny over his past actions.
