Hoax Bomb Threats Rattle Schools in Gujarat, Echoing Recent Delhi Panic

Following a spate of hoax bomb threats in Delhi and its environs, several schools in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad faced similar alarming emails. The Border Security Force (BSF) uncovered a drone and heroin in three separate incidents near the India-Pakistan International Border in Punjab. While the drone was found broken in Kalia village, Tarn Taran district, the BSF intercepted packets of heroin in Amritsar and Tarn Taran. Investigations are ongoing, with the crime branch and bomb disposal squads deployed to assess the threats in Gujarat. This unsettling trend mirrors the recent scare in Delhi, where nearly 200 schools received similar hoax emails, prompting extensive police investigations and causing widespread disruption. The Delhi Police’s efforts to trace the source of the threats led them to foreign links and involved collaboration with international authorities via Interpol. As the investigations continue, the safety and security of educational institutions remain paramount concerns, demanding vigilant measures and swift action from law enforcement agencies.
