BJP MP Tejasvi Surya Heckled by Victims of Bank Scam, Complaint Lodged with Election Commission
Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya faced a tumultuous situation at an event in the city, where victims of the Guru Raghavendra Bank scam heckled him, compelling him to swiftly depart. A widely circulated video captured the commotion as Surya exited amidst the chaos.
In response to the incident, Surya’s office has lodged a formal complaint with the Election Commission, alleging that Congress candidate Soumya Reddy and her party members were responsible for the disruption. The complaint, initiated by cooperative sector representatives, accused the intruding individuals of creating a disturbance during Surya’s scheduled “meet and greet” gathering at his election office on April 13.
The complaint called for FIRs against Reddy and her associates, demanding a thorough investigation into the matter.
In retaliation, the Congress party took to social media to criticize Surya, accusing him of neglecting the concerns of victims who suffered losses in the Guru Raghavendra Cooperative Bank scam. The post highlighted public outrage against Surya’s perceived arrogance and called for voters to teach him a lesson.
As tensions escalate and political rhetoric intensifies, the incident underscores the growing friction between rival parties in the run-up to the elections, with both sides seeking to leverage public sentiment to their advantage.
