PM Narendra Modi Unveils Major Developmental Projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a visit to Gujarat and Rajasthan, commencing with the inauguration of developmental projects exceeding Rs. 85,000 crore in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The prime minister laid the foundation stone for crucial railway projects, including workshops, sheds, and new rail lines. He also launched ten new Vande Bharat trains and extended routes for existing ones, contributing to enhanced rail connectivity.
Subsequently, PM Modi visited the Sabarmati Ashram to unveil the master plan for the Gandhi Ashram Memorial and inaugurate the renovated Kochrab Ashram. The expansion plan for the Gandhi Ashram Memorial aims to increase the area from five to 55 acres, with a focus on restoration and conservation of 36 existing buildings, including ‘Hriday Kunj,’ Gandhi’s residence.
Later in the day, the prime minister participated in the ‘Bharat Shakti’ Tri-Services Live Fire and Manoeuvre Exercise event in Pokhran, Rajasthan. Aligned with the Aatmanirbharata initiative, the exercise showcased India’s multi-domain operational capabilities, featuring indigenous weapon systems and platforms across land, air, sea, cyber, and space.
The Indian Army presented T-90 (IM) Tanks, Dhanush and Sarang Gun Systems, Akash Weapons System, Logistics Drones, Robotic Mules, ALH, and various unmanned aerial vehicles. The Indian Navy displayed Naval Anti-Ship Missiles, Autonomous Cargo Carrying Aerial Vehicles, and Expendable Aerial Targets, emphasizing maritime strength. The Indian Air Force showcased indigenous aircraft, including Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, Light Utility Helicopters, and Advanced Light Helicopters.
PM Modi’s visit underscores a commitment to infrastructure development, connectivity, and the display of indigenous defense capabilities, reinforcing India’s strategic prowess.
