Tamannaah Bhatia to Star in Sequel “Odela 2” on Maha Shivaratri
Tamannaah Bhatia has been cast in the lead role in the upcoming film “Odela 2,” a sequel to Sampath Nandi’s 2022 release “Odela Railway Station.” The actress shared her first look as “Shiva Shakthi” on Instagram and X, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri. The striking image features Tamannaah dressed as a naga sadhu, with intricate hair, holding a damarukam and staff, and adorned with a saffron bindi.
“Odela 2,” directed by Ashok Teja and produced by Sampath Nandi, follows its predecessor, which starred Hebah Patel, Pujita Ponnada, Vasishta N Simha, and Sai Ronak. The 2022 film focused on a serial killer targeting married women in the village of Odela, inspired by true events.
The sequel, set in Kashi, explores the village’s culture, heritage, and traditions. The story revolves around the character Odela Mallanna Swamy, a savior protecting the village from malevolent forces. “Odela 2” recently commenced filming, with D Madhu producing under Madhu Creations and Sampath Nandi under Sampath Nandi Teamworks. The cast includes Hebah Patel and Vasishta N Simha reprising their roles, with Soundar Rajan S as the cinematographer and Ajaneesh Loknath as the music composer. The film also features Rajeev Nair as the art director and includes a diverse ensemble cast.
