Article 370 Box Office Collection Day 3: Yami Gautam Starrer Earns ₹23 Crore in India
Political-action drama “Article 370,” directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and starring Yami Gautam, Priyamani, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar, has garnered significant attention at the box office. Released on February 23, the film has reported impressive collections.
As per Sacnilk.com, “Article 370” accumulated nearly ₹23 crore in India within three days of its release. The film’s performance showcases its popularity among audiences, with a day-wise collection of ₹5.9 crore on the opening day, ₹7.4 crore on the second day, and an estimated ₹9.50 crore on the third day.
Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar, the film delves into the themes of terrorism and corruption in Jammu and Kashmir. Yami Gautam portrays the role of an intelligence officer, navigating the challenges posed by radicals seeking control in the region.
The movie’s plot revolves around the government’s commitment to eliminating Article 370, addressing true events that shaped the destiny of Kashmir. Apart from Yami Gautam, the film features Priyamani, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar in key roles.
Inspired by the historical revocation of Article 370 by the Central government on August 5, 2019, the film reflects the transformation of Jammu and Kashmir into union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
With strategic theatre placement across 1,509 locations, including major multiplexes and single screens, “Article 370” aims to maximize its reach, with additional theatres expected to be added across the country during the weekend, according to PVR INOX Pictures.
