Following a meeting with Union ministers Piyush Goyal, Nityanand Rai, Arjun Munda, and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann in Chandigarh, farmers, led by Jagjit Singh Dallewal, declared their steadfast commitment to the scheduled protest on February 13. During the meeting, farmers presented detailed demands with supporting facts, emphasizing the urgency of addressing their concerns. The government expressed a commitment to a thorough examination of the presented facts and assured the farmers of addressing the raised issues. However, Jagjit Singh Dallewal, the leader of the farmers, reiterated their decision to proceed with the planned protest on February 13.

“We presented all our demands in detail, with facts…The government listened to us & said that they will examine all our facts seriously…Our program for 13th February will continue as it is,” stated Dallewal. Despite the government’s assurance of another upcoming meeting and an openness to prompt issue resolution, the farmers remain resolute in their decision to carry out the scheduled protest.
