“AAP-led Punjab Government Collaborates with Centre for Innovative Joint Branding in Doorstep Delivery of Ration Under NFSA”
In a pioneering move, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led government in Punjab has partnered with the Central Government to introduce a distinctive joint branding initiative for the doorstep delivery of ration under the National Food Security Act (NFSA). Specially designed bags in the party’s signature yellow color, reminiscent of AAP leaders’ turbans, will carry both the Central Government’s NFSA emblem and the state’s AAP government branding.
The bags, now in yellow as opposed to the previous white, prominently display “Punjab Sarkar ne NFSA adheen prapat ration ghar ghar pahunchaya” at the bottom, highlighting the state’s commitment to delivering free ration directly to beneficiaries. The initiative, set to launch this month, includes a trial run conducted recently.
With 60% of the estimated 1.54 crore beneficiaries expected to opt for atta and 40% for wheat, the ration shops have been rebranded as “Aam Aadmi Ration Depots,” adorned with flex boards featuring iconic figures such as Bhagat Singh, Dr. BR Ambedkar, and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Addressing concerns regarding the branding, the state government asserts compliance with Central norms, emphasizing the government’s significant contribution in providing free ration. Despite ongoing financial disagreements, the AAP-led Punjab government remains committed to its innovative doorstep delivery scheme, ensuring essential supplies reach households efficiently.
