Nostalgia for Republic Day in School, watching the parade live: Zee Punjabi Actors Share Favourite Memories Of the Day.
The country is celebrating its 75th Republic Day and every year, people on this day witness the tradition and culture of the country in the different tableaux of the states and also the spectacular view of airshows by the Indian army, Navy, and Air Force. On this special occasion, Zee Punjabi artists talked about its relevance and recalled their childhood memories related to the celebration of Republic Day.
Harjit Malhi playing the lead role as Sartaj in the show “Dilan De Rishtey” remembers how he used to be assigned note-making on various tableaus on Republic Day. The actor who is currently seen in the show “Dilan De Rishtey” says, “Tableaus are one important and interesting aspect of the Republic Day parade. I remember my father asking me to record the states and ministers with their theme Tableaus and to appreciate the different states their culture and the forces and technology that protect us. Later we used to write a note or an article on the same, and we were supposed to submit it to our school teacher. Even today I enjoy watching them. The day is a great reminder to pay tribute to our national heroes.
Hasanpreet Kaur” who is currently playing the lead role as *Keerat in the show “Dilan De Rishtey” says, she still misses the play-hosting event of the school. She adds for most of us, Republic Day memories come from the customary school celebrations. There was something about the flag-hoisting ceremony petals showering people together that made all of us feel proud and patriotic. I remember that sweet distribution and later enjoying the annual sports events. It is a major miss. The day holds a major significance in our life and encourages us to participate to be thankful to our country, and freedom fighters for making an independent republic.
