MS Dhoni Files Criminal Case Against Ex-Business Partners Alleging Fraud of Over Rs 15 Crore
India’s cricketing icon, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has taken legal action against former associates Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash of Aarka Sports and Management Limited. Dhoni’s criminal complaint asserts that the duo breached a 2017 agreement to establish global cricket academies, resulting in a significant loss exceeding Rs 15 crore.
Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, Aarka Sports allegedly failed to fulfill contractual obligations, prompting Dhoni to revoke their authority and issue multiple legal notices. Additionally, Dhoni’s friend Simant Lohani filed a separate complaint, citing threats and abuse from Diwakar post-legal action.
Dhoni, having recently returned from a New Year’s trip, gears up for IPL 2024 where he and Rishabh Pant are anticipated to participate after Dhoni’s successful recovery from knee surgery in 2023. With his health on track, Dhoni remains optimistic while seeking justice in this legal pursuit against his former business partners.
