Xiaomi, a trailblazer in innovation, confirms the imminent launch of HyperOS in India, initiating a new era of seamless connectivity and enhanced performance for its consumers. Scheduled for rollout starting January 2024, the HyperOS debut will begin with flagship models, Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 6.
HyperOS, heralded as a “human-centric” operating system, is poised to supersede the MIUI system, promising a groundbreaking interface that integrates cross-device intelligence and prioritizes security. Building upon Android Open Source Project (AOSP) with Android 14 at its core, this OS aims to optimize Xiaomi devices through the open-source Xiaomi Vela system, ensuring robust performance across diverse scenarios.
Key features include improved performance with faster boot times and AI-driven enhancements, facilitating text generation, image conversion, and intuitive image searches. HyperOS enables seamless connectivity among Xiaomi devices, enabling cross-device task continuation and innovative functions like using a smartphone camera as a laptop webcam.
The rollout extends to various devices, encompassing Xiaomi 13 series, Redmi Note 12 series, Xiaomi Pad 6, and Poco F5, ensuring an expansive user base benefits from this transformative update.
Eligible users will receive the update gradually via over-the-air rollout, offering a more interconnected, secure, and refined experience across Xiaomi’s ecosystem.
