Tragic Incident of Familial Violence in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh

In a deeply distressing event, a 34-year-old man was arrested in Bilaspur district, Chhattisgarh, following the alleged murder of his wife and three young children. The incident occurred late Monday night in Hirri village under Masturi police station limits.

The accused, identified as Umendra Kewat, stands accused of brutally ending the lives of his wife and their three minor children—a heartbreaking act reportedly driven by suspicions of an extra-marital affair.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Kewat, in a fit of suspicion, is believed to have strangled his wife and their daughters aged 4 and 5, along with their 2-year-old son.
