Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Expresses Discontent Over Republic Day Tableau Exclusion

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann voiced disappointment at Punjab’s exclusion from the Republic Day parade tableau for the second consecutive year. Accusing the Centre of bias against opposition-ruled states, Mann highlighted the deliberate omission of Punjab and AAP-ruled Delhi’s tableaux, claiming it as an attempt to eradicate their cultural presence.

Expressing dismay, Mann showcased the prepared tableaux, emphasizing the state’s compliance with all requisites. He criticized the Centre’s apparent favoritism towards BJP-ruled states, noting the approval of most BJP-ruled states’ tableaux among the 20 selected.

The CM urged for fair representation, denouncing the Centre’s actions as an attempt to diminish Punjab’s cultural significance on the national stage. Despite this setback, Punjab remains committed to upholding its rich heritage and cultural legacy.
