Shikhar Dhawan’s Emotional Message on Son Zoravar’s Birthday
Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan penned a heartfelt message on social media for his son Zoravar’s birthday, reflecting on the challenges he faces in maintaining contact with his nine-year-old. Following an official divorce from his ex-wife Ayesha Mukherjee, Dhawan expressed pride in Zoravar’s growth while sharing a poignant photo from a past video call.
The divorce, finalized in October, was granted on grounds of alleged ‘cruelty’ inflicted on Dhawan, encompassing claims of being kept apart from his son and financial pressures. Despite court-mandated visitation rights, recent obstructions have prevented direct communication with Zoravar.
In Dhawan’s words, “Even if I can’t connect with you directly, I connect with you through Telepathy…Papa always misses you and loves you.” He emphasized his continuous efforts to stay connected despite the absence of direct contact.
The court’s decision established visitation rights for Dhawan in India and Australia, aiming for quality time and overnight stays with Zoravar. Dhawan and Mukherjee were married for eight years, separating in 2020, with neither party publicly commenting on the divorce.
