Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw unveiled a sneak peek into India’s pioneering bullet train station, nestled within the Sabarmati Multimodal Transport Hub. This station stands as a hallmark of the ongoing construction of the country’s foremost High-Speed Rail (HSR) corridor, bridging Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
Spanning 508 km, the corridor boasts innovation with 448 km elevated, 26 km in tunnels, 10 km on bridges, and 7 km on an embankment. The Ahmedabad station proudly showcases a stainless-steel mural commemorating the historic Dandi March, a testament to Mahatma Gandhi’s non-violent Salt Satyagraha against the British.
With a sprawling 1,33,000 square meters, the hub will emerge as a twin-structured edifice housing offices, commercial spaces, and retail outlets, catering to the needs of discerning passengers.
