Delhi Schools Revise Winter Vacation to Six Days Starting January 1, 2024
The Directorate of Education has announced a revised schedule for the winter vacation in Delhi schools for the academic session 2023-24. Previously set for a duration of 15 days, the winter break has now been curtailed to six days, commencing from January 1, 2024. This decision, as communicated through an official circular, brings about a significant adjustment to the academic calendar.
The Directorate of Education explained that the initial schedule had slated the vacation from January 1 to January 15, but has been revised to accommodate a shorter break period. This adjustment aims to optimize academic learning and ensure continuity in the educational process while providing students and staff with a brief respite.
The revision is part of efforts to maintain a balanced academic calendar while allowing for essential breaks within the academic year.
