Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal lauded a group of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) workers for their extraordinary valor in the successful Silkyara tunnel rescue operation in Uttarakhand. The workers, transported urgently to Uttarakhand when an American auger machine faltered, worked tirelessly for 36 hours straight without respite. Their relentless efforts saved the lives of 41 trapped individuals.
Kejriwal commended their selflessness, highlighting the rarity of such altruism in today’s world. He praised the workers’ courage and dedication, acknowledging their sacrifice in risking their lives for the greater good. The Chief Minister also acknowledged the company’s noble gesture of conducting the rescue operation without seeking government compensation, emphasizing the importance of such national spirit for progress.
The labourers recounted the challenging circumstances they endured during the rescue, showcasing unwavering determination. Their unwavering commitment and bravery in the face of adversity set an inspiring example for the nation.
