“Virat Kohli Takes Indefinite White-Ball Cricket Hiatus, Set to Focus on Red-Ball Format”

India’s cricket stalwart, Virat Kohli, has communicated to the BCCI his decision to take an indefinite break from white-ball cricket. Kohli, a mainstay in the Indian cricket scene, cited the need for a hiatus to recalibrate and focus on red-ball cricket. Consequently, he will not participate in the upcoming South Africa tour’s T20 Internationals and ODIs but remains committed to the two-match Test series.

“Kohli has informed the BCCI and selectors that he needs a break from white-ball cricket and he will get back to them about when he wants to play white-ball cricket next. At the moment he has informed the BCCI that he will be playing red-ball cricket…” a source close to the situation explained.
