The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee jointly condemn the reported incidents of sacrilege within the revered premises of Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib.
Allegations of alcohol and meat being served during an event at the holy site have deeply hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community. Jagdip Singh Kahlon, General Secretary of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, vehemently denounced the actions, calling them unacceptable and urging swift action by the Government of Pakistan against the responsible individuals.
The significance of Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Sikh history and its association with Guru Nanak Dev underscores the gravity of these reported actions, which, if confirmed, would violate the sacred ‘maryada’ and religious sanctity.
Both committees urge the Pakistan government to investigate this matter promptly and take appropriate action in accordance with the reverence this site holds in Sikh faith.
