Fitness influencer Beatriz Amma’s pursuit of perfection turned into a nightmare after receiving 60 fat-dissolving injections at a Los Angeles spa. After the procedure, Ms. Amma experienced severe reactions, including sickness, chills, and a fever. Disturbingly, welts appeared at the injection sites, and her skin began to deteriorate rapidly.
Diagnosed with necrosis, caused by improper injection of deoxycholic acid, leading to subcutaneous mycobacterium abscessus, Ms. Amma faced a life-threatening situation. “My entire body started eating itself alive,” she revealed.
